This is a pressrelease regarding our other band Sounds like violence:

Burning Heart Records is pleased to announce that Sweden's SOUNDS LIKE VIOLENCE has joined the ranks of BURNING HEART RECORDS, through a license partnership with Deep Elm Records. Burning Heart will be releasing the band's debut full-length (title TBA) outside of North America during September 2006.

SLV present a brassy, brave and emotionally charged sound. Andreas Soderlund’s unmistakable voice, jagged guitars and a raw mix captivate the listener. Their raw, unpretentious sound is softened by unique influences of both Punk rock and Hardcore. This band will no doubt be inspirational for fans of several rock-divisions.

"A band with an edge like this does not come around often. Their jagged, angsty blend of rock whips up storms of nostalgia in the direction of early 90's rock. SLV is vital to the Swedish scene", said Peter Ahlqvist, co-owner of Burning Heart.

"We couldn't be more pleased", added Deep Elm founder John Szuch. "Burning Heart is second to none when it comes to developing promising bands and releasing amazing records throughout Europe. It was crystal clear to all of us that Sounds Like Violence was a perfect fit."

"All of the band members have been big fans of Burning Heart and their roster for quite a long time. To be able to count oneself among these great bands is an honor and there can be no better label for the band to work with outside of America. We hope that this newfound friendship will be long and giving for both Deep Elm and Sounds Like Violence. The forthcoming album and songs feel great and we can't wait for it to be released", said the members of Sounds Like Violence.

Deep Elm released Sounds Like Violence's six song debut CDEP "The Pistol" to critical acclaim in April of 2004. The band followed up with an tour of the UK, supported by extensive radio play and a live appearance on BBC Radio 1, as well as features in Rock Sound, Kerrang! and Big Cheese. The video for "You Give Me Heartattacks" found its way to MTV Europe and Scuzz TV.

Recording for the new record has begun at Mission Hall Studios in Lund, Sweden.

"You can keep your Saves The Days and your Thursdays.... we’ve got SLV." - Drowned In Sound
